Skopje, 27 January 2023 (MIA) – Minister of Justice Nikola Tupancheski met Friday with Ambassador Kilian Wahl, Head of the OSCE Mission to Skopje, discussing current developments in the country, course of the EU integration processes and reforms in the judiciary.

Ambassador Wahl was introduced to the activities undertaken by the Ministry of Justice in the past period, the legislative agenda, as well as the future plans to be realized in order to ensure the rule of law, the Ministry of Justice said in a press release.

Minister Tupancheski informed Ambassador Wahl about the drafting of the new Criminal Code and the expert discussions which are set to be held in February.

The process of digitization in the judiciary was also discussed, as well as the idea for adoption of a new Electoral Code.

Minister Tupancheski wished Ambassador Wahl a successful term and a deepening of mutual cooperation, reads the press release. ad/ik/
