Justice Minister says will submit Gruevski extradition request, former PM involved in nine more cases

Skopje, 27 March 2023 (MIA) - Nikola Gruevski is involved in nine more cases before the domestic courts and I will submit another request for his extradition, said Justice Minister Krenar Lloga on Monday.

Minister Lloga told a press briefing that the request would state that the former PM would be placed in the so-called Hague cells, both for detention and prison purposes.

"I believe this is accelptable for the Hungarian institutions, since these cells meet all international standards," said Lloga.

He told the Greek Ambassador the same thing regarding escapees Goran Grujovski and Nikola Boshkovski, noting it is unacceptable that EU states Greece and Hungary fail to support the restoration of trust in the judiciary.

"We will ask for their extradition, so that justice is served once and for all times, not only on paper but in practice," said Lloga.
