Justice Minister Lloga meets parliamentary group coordinators

Skopje, 26 June 2023 (MIA) - Justice Minister Krenar Lloga met Monday with parliamentary group coordinators, including SDSM's Jovan Mitreski, VMRO-DPMNE's Nikola Micevski, DUI's Arbr Ademi, and AA's Adnan Neziri. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Justice Minister Viktorija Avramovska Madikj.
Next week, an in-person session of the Council for Reforms in the Judiciary will be held for the first time, discussing the Justice Development Strategy for 2023-2027. Minister Lloga invited VMRO-DPMNE to attend the session and give their remarks on the strategy.
Talks focused on the situation with the Judicial Council and the possibility of legal amendments to overcome the issues faced by the institution, the Ministry of Justice said in a press release.
In addition, Lloga briefed participants in the meeting on the legislative agenda, the possibility of passing an amnesty law following the 2018 example for minor crimes, which, notes the press release, will enable the overcrowding in the prisons to be relieved.
Interlocutors also discussed the laws on pardons, on the Operational-Technical Agency (OTA), on the National Security Agency (ANB), the Public Prosecutor's Office, cadastre, justice for children, etc.
Parliamentary group coordinators thanked Minister Llloga for the information shared, expressing readiness for further cooperation.
