Skopje, 30 March 2023 (MIA) – Germany supports North Macedonia on its path to EU integration, said German Chargé d'Affaires Otto Graf at Thursday’s meeting with Minister of Justice Krenar Lloga, said the Ministry of Justice in a press release. 

Lloga and Graf spoke about the constitutional amendments, relations with Bulgaria and the current situation in the judiciary. 

“Minister Lloga informed Graf that amending the Constitution’s Preamble is a priority and an expert group is expected to be established in the coming period that will draft the amendments. The idea for the drafting of a new Electoral Code and the establishment of a working group that will determine the working methodology were discussed as well,” said the Ministry. 

Chargé d'Affaires Graf was informed about Parliament’s legislative agenda, the 2023-2027 Strategy for reforms in the judiciary, the vetting process and the electronic distribution of cases in the public prosecutor’s offices. 

“Graf stressed that he supports all efforts and initiatives related to the country’s EU integration,” said the Ministry of Justice. ad/nn/
