Skopje, 11 July 2024 (MIA) - Justice Minister Igor Filkov held a meeting Thursday with Austrian Ambassador Martin Pammer, during which they discussed the bilateral cooperation, joint projects and planned reforms in the judiciary.

“In the coming period, activities are expected to begin in the agreed fields of interest stemming from the memorandum that the ministries of the two countries signed a year ago aimed at boosting cooperation in the field of protection and implementation of the principles of the rule of law, reforms in the area of civil and criminal law, fight against corruption, digitization of the judiciary,” the Ministry said in a press release. 

At the meeting, according to the Ministry, Filkov and Pammer agreed on an intensification of cooperation with Austria “whose experiences and knowledge will be of great assistance for our country in the process of implementing reforms and fighting corruption”.
