Skopje, 21 August 2024 (MIA) - The average monthly net wage paid in June stood at Mden 41.939 and is 14.8 percent higher than the same month in 2023.

According to data from the State Statistical Office, the increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Financial and insurance activities (24.6%), Administrative and support service activities (22.9%) and Public administration and defence; compulsory social security (19.6%).

An increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Financial and insurance activities (21.1%), Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (5.4%) and Administrative and support service activities (4.5%).

The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in June 2024 was Mden 62.964 and it is 15.1 percent higher than in June 2023.
