July industry turnover up: statistics
Skopje, 13 September 2024 (MIA) - The turnover index in industry on the domestic market, in July 2024 compared to June 2024 increased by 6.5%, while in the period January-July 2024 compared to January-July 2023 it dropped by 0.6%, statistics show.
According to the State Statistical Office, the turnover index in industry, total, in July 2024, compared to July 2023, dropped by 13.5%.
The total turnover by Main Industrial Groupings in July 2024, compared to July 2023, was lower in Capital goods by 35.4% and Durable consumer goods by 1.6%, but higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 6.0% and Non-durable consumer goods by 1.4%.
The turnover index in industry, total, in July 2024 compared to June 2024 dropped by 2%, while in the period January-July 2024 compared to January-July 2023, the turnover index in industry, total, dropped by 13.3%.
The State Statistical Office notes that the turnover index in industry on the domestic market in July 2024 compared to July 2023 dropped by 0.9%.
The turnover in industry on the domestic market by Main Industrial Groupings in July 2024 compared to July 2023, was lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 6.6% and Durable consumer goods by 21.8%, but higher in Capital goods by 46.4% and Nondurable consumer goods by 1.6%. The turnover index in industry on the domestic market in July 2024 compared to June 2024 increased by 6.5%, while in the period January-July 2024 compared to January-July 2023, the turnover index in industry, on the domestic market, dropped by 0.6%.
The turnover index in industry on the non-domestic market, in July 2024 compared to July 2023, dropped by 18%.
The turnover in industry on the non-domestic market by Main Industrial Groupings in July 2024 compared to July 2023, was lower in Capital goods by 37.0%, but higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 11.8%, Durable consumer goods by 6.0% and Non-durable consumer goods by 1.8%.
The turnover index in industry on the non-domestic market in July 2024compared to June 2024, dropped by 5.2%, while in the period January-July 2024 compared to January-July 2023, the turnover index in industry, on the non-domestic market, dropped by 6.9%.
