Skopje, 7 August 2023 (MIA) - A family of four in the country needed Mden 48,620 (EUR 789) to cover the minimal consumer basket in July, said the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) on Monday.

Of this amount, 44.6 percent is required for food and beverages, 30.46 percent for housing, whereas the rest for hygiene, transport, clothing and shoes, arts, and healthcare, along with the 8.4-percent inflation.

SSM added that although the inflation has slowed down, the July consumer basket has increased by Mden 441 (EUR 7) compared to the previous month.
