Janevska – Wandelt: Dual education benefiting country, to continue to expand

Skopje, 15 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska held a meeting Monday with Antje Wandelt, head of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in North Macedonia (AHK), during which they spoke about expanding and improving the dual education model in the country, the Education Ministry said in a press release.
According to the Ministry, Janevska at the meeting stressed that youth is in the focus of the Government and the Ministry of Education and Science.
“With the German model of dual education, high school students receive modern and high-quality vocational education, and personnel is created for the Macedonian labor market, which is why, according to Janevska, it will be upgraded in cooperation with the partner companies,” the press release said.
Congratulating the Minister on her appointment, Wandelt stressed that AHK North Macedonia, as part of the network of German chambers of commerce abroad, maintains constant dialogue with German investors.
The introduction of dual education, implemented in accordance with the German model, began seven years ago. The program is implemented in eight cities. More than 450 students are currently a part of the dual education program.
