Skopje, 9 September 2023 (MIA) – The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy in a press release Saturday said IPARD III offers new opportunities for Macedonian agriculture. One of the novelties highlighted by the Ministry is the advance payment of up to 50 percent of financial assistance immediately after the signing of the contract.

“To illustrate, that would mean if one applies with a project with EUR 100.000, as part of a measure in which the return on investment is 60 percent, the applicant, by signing the agreement, will receive 50 percent of the funds or EUR 30.000 in advance. This will greatly facilitate a faster realization of all investments. Through the advance payments, we are directly aiding the applicants,” said the Ministry.

As part of the IPARD III Program a new way of securing the necessary documentation is being introduced, as well. According to the Ministry, an electronic system will be used to gather all the necessary documents from the Central Registry, thereby simplifying and speeding up the process, while also reducing the expenses of the applicants.

“We are the first country in the region which is beginning the realization of the new IPARD III Program. The total value of IPARD III stands at EUR 97 million of non-refundable European funds aimed at the modernization and development of Macedonian agriculture. The initial EUR 30 million are already available for investments from the first public call for measures 1 and 7 of the IPARD III Program,” said the Ministry.
