International Day of Peace marked in Skopje
Skopje, 21 September 2022 (MIA) – Peace is what brings us closer and is the key to freedom, said Panche Karagjozov Secondary Medical School professor, Biljana Stefanovska, at a peace march on Wednesday, underscoring the importance of peace to citizens' lives. She stated that for a whole week now the school has been marking the International Day of Peace through various activities. “We gathered students from different ethnicities, we made peace messages, we hung out, we played, we sang and took photos. During peace time we are happy, we love each other, we have fun,” said the professor. Regarding coexistence among young people, Stefanovska said that in “Panche Karagjozov” young people from different ethnicities live together in harmony and that is how they can show they are the strongest. “I think we are beginning to feel that there are no differences, i.e., that the differences bring us closer and they are the key to our unity and younger generations can show that in a much better way through friendships, through various activities regardless of religious affiliation or language. And honestly, I think they just need someone to show them and direct them and they are really very strong,” concluded the professor. ad/ba/
