Skopje, 29 August 2024 (MIA) - Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski met Thursday with Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the country, Armen Grigoryan. The meeting reaffirmed the excellent cooperation, with emphasis on ongoing projects that the ministry is implementing with UNDP support.

Interlocutors also discussed the benefits of continuing joint cooperation in the fight against illicit possession, misuse and illegal trade of small arms and light weapons, cyber-crime, strengthening capacities of the forensic system and crime scene investigation, with the aim of improving criminal justice control of small and light arms, the possibility of cooperation in the field of crisis management in order to strengthen security in the country, and realization of new projects.

Toshkovski and Grigoryan stressed the importance of UNDP's full support to the Ministry of Interior, readiness to further intensify and deepen cooperation, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. ssh/ik/
