Skopje, 9 October 2023 (MIA) – Asked about the Oncology Clinic case, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski in an interview for 360 Degrees on Monday evening said he expects all facts and arguments to be confirmed, and that they will serve as a basis for the establishment of culpability, because, he said, the culprits always have a name.
The Interior Minister said there is evidence, and the evidence is in the hands of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Some of the evidence is still being analyzed, he said.
Asked if he has any ambitions to run for president or become the leader of SDSM, Spasovski said the only thing important for him right now is to realize the ongoing and future projects and reforms at the ministry that he is in charge of.
In terms of the public’s impression that he has recently been engaged in a self-promotion campaign, considering his presence at a series of events unrelated to the domain of his Ministry, Spasovski said he personally strives to be in constant contact with the citizens, and that this is best achieved through direct meetings.
“Look at my activities on all social media networks since 2013, I am grateful that you follow me and promote my activities, but you will see that there is no difference. Back then too, I’ve attended events because I think openness in the work of the institution, and my own personal openness with people is very important, in order to strengthen the trust in the institution, and this is best achieved through direct meetings. So, everything that you are seeing, you could see two or three years ago,” said Spasovski.
Asked about the possibility of cooperating with former SDSM party member Maksim Dimitrievski, who promoted a new political party on Monday, Spasovski said he is open for cooperation with anyone who shares the same values as SDSM, including former SDSM party member and current Kumanovo Mayor, Maksim Dimitrievski.
“I am always open for cooperation with everyone who shares the same values as SDSM, so, absolutely. You know, there is never a full stop in politics, there’s always a comma, and in the interest of idea, talks can be held with anyone if the common language is found,” said Spasovski.
