Hungarian Prime Minister arrives in Ohrid, leading a delegation of 10 ministers
- Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán arrived in Ohrid Thursday afternoon, where he will hold a tête-a-tête meeting with Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Friday. Orbán, as reported by government sources, has arrived with a large delegation that includes around 10 ministers.
Skopje, 26 September 2024 (MIA) - Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán arrived in Ohrid Thursday afternoon, where he will hold a tête-a-tête meeting with Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Friday. Orbán, as reported by government sources, has arrived with a large delegation that includes around 10 ministers.
According to the agenda, following the meeting between the two Prime Ministers on Friday, an intergovernmental session will be held, after which Mickoski and Orbán will hold a joint press conference.
Mickoski and Orbán will also lay flowers at the monument of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Ohrid on the sidelines of the visit, the government said.
Intensive security measures and temporary traffic rules are in place in Ohrid due to the visit.
Orbán previously paid an official visit to the country in 2013, when he received the “September 8” Order for outstanding merit for the development and strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Currently, Hungary is presiding over the EU, and Orbán is also the President of the Council of the European Union during the second half of this year.
