Hisni Ismaili elected new Deputy Speaker
Skopje, 28 October 2022 (MIA) – Alternativa’s Hisni Ismaili was elected on Friday new Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, with 62 votes in favor.   Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi said MPs will be additionally informed on the resumption of Friday’s session.   The session started an hour late, and MPs from the opposition VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition didn’t attend it.   The agenda of this session includes a no-confidence motion against President of the Committee on the Political System and Inter-Ethnic Relations, Sonja Mirakovska, subitted by VMRO-DPMNE, as well as discussion over several draft amendments, bills and reports on work of institutions in 2021.   Earlier on Friday, the Parliament elected Risto Penov as Minister of Local Self-Government, and Fatmir Skender and Tatjana Vasic Bozadzhieva were elected as Constitutional Court judges.
