Health Ministry: 330,320 people fully vaccinated; in-home vaccination starts

Skopje, 24 July 2021 (MIA) – A total of 487,975 people were vaccinated until Friday. 5,977 people received their first dose yesterday with a total of 17,085 being vaccinated, the Health Ministry said Saturday.

A total of 818,295 doses of vaccines have been applied so far in the country and 330,320 people have been fully vaccinated.

“The vaccination campaign goes well in all vaccination sites in the country in parallel with field vaccination,” said the Ministry.

According to recent data, 62% of the population over 70 has received at least one shot; 59% of people over 65 has received at least one shot; 55% of over 60s has received at least one

North Macedonia recently has introduced walk-in vaccination across the country as well as on-the-ground vaccination in rural areas. The Pfizer vaccine has been also offered to children aged 12-17.

The Health Ministry urged people to get vaccinated stressing it is the only way to curb the virus.

Also on Saturday, the Health Ministry announced that in-home vaccination starts this Monday for homebound persons who due to health reasons cannot visit a vaccination site to get a shot.
