Health facilities to continue regular and uninterrupted work during OSCE Ministerial Council

Skopje, 28 November 2023 (MIA) - Health facilities will continue regular and uninterrupted work during the upcoming OSCE Ministerial Council in Skopje.

The Ministry of Health said in a press release on Tuesday that the decision for November 29-30 to be non-working days for all state and public administration employees in Skopje due to the OSCE Ministerial Council, does not apply to healthcare workers.

"Health care to all patients will be kept available and uninterrupted as before. Because of the Ministerial Council, medical institutions are required to have on-call medical teams and other medical personnel, available facilities and equipment for providing medical assistance, i.e. they must be prepared with all capacities," the press release adds.

The Health Ministry notes that legal entities in the area of health care located in Skopje must provide first aid in accordance with the standard operating procedures of the Protection and Rescue Directorate.

"Emergency medical teams will be present at the 30th OSCE Ministerial Council 24 hours a day," the Ministry said. ssh/nn/
