Tetovo, 11 August 2021 (MIA) – First Deputy PM and Minister of Political System and Community Relations Artan Grubi attended Wednesday a panel discussion at the South East European University regarding the 20th anniversary of the Ohrid Framework Agreement. “We are observing the 20th anniversary of the agreement but the agreement itself is not an isolated event, it is a process that has a beginning but no end. This jubilee is the best opportunity to stress the institutional, collective and personal gratitude to all the men and women who started this process back in 1991, making efforts for equality throughout the ensuing decade, alongside the men and women who sped up the process in 2001 and afterwards adopted the normative part of the process titled the Ohrid Framework Agreement, up to my current colleagues and the joint commitment for its continued implementation and promotion of equality in all walks of life,” said Deputy PM Grubi. According to him, the activities for observance of the Agreement are not there only for reflection or comparison but a way to create a common vision for the next 20 years. “Peace, stability, development and economic well-being, just representation, social cohesion, balance of diversities, non-selective justice, overcoming of divisions, finding solutions for open domestic and regional issues are things that require courage and an open mind. This vision does not tolerate narrow or broad limits but aims towards a flexible and creative space, it requires daily and vigilant treatment,” noted Grubi.
