Grubi meets new German Ambassador Petra Drexler

Skopje, 24 April 2023 (MIA) – The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations, Artan Grubi, held a meeting Monday with the new German Ambassador to North Macedonia, Petra Drexler, focused on the screening process, EU-integration path, reforms, constitutional amendments, as well as economic development, Grubi’s Office said in a press release.
Grubi welcomed the Ambassador and wished her a successful term. The Deputy PM assessed that the two countries traditionally maintain friendly relations, and as a result of their cooperation, North Macedonia today sees the Federal Republic of Germany as a strategic partner.
Ambassador Drexler said that the cooperation between the two countries should continue even more intensely in all areas of mutual interest.
“Grubi and Drexler spoke about the constitutional changes process and securing broad support for the next stage of negotiations, with Grubi informing the Ambassador about the pro-European front, as well as the initiative for the beginning of the process of constitutional amendments,” said Grubi’s Office in the press release.
