Grubi – Tiganj: Full support for constitutional amendments, adding Croatian community to the Constitution and EU accession
- First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations, Artan Grubi, held a meeting Tuesday with the Croatian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Nives Tiganj, at which they discussed the situation in the country and the region, the government reshuffle, the constitutional amendments and the Euro-integration path.
Skopje, 21 February 2023 (MIA) – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations, Artan Grubi, held a meeting Tuesday with the Croatian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Nives Tiganj, at which they discussed the situation in the country and the region, the government reshuffle, the constitutional amendments and the Euro-integration path.
Grubi and Tiganj concluded that North Macedonia and Croatia have excellent bilateral relations in all areas and that Croatia supported the country’s NATO accession, as well as its path to the EU, which should be accelerated by joining the European front, the Deputy PM's Office said in a press release.
Deputy PM Grubi stressed that the positive Croatian examples and reforms have often been taken in account during the reform process in North Macedonia.
Ambassador Tiganj expressed her full support for the constitutional amendments and the inclusion of the Croatian community in the Constitution, as well as for the continuation of the country’s EU accession talks.
At the meeting, the Deputy PM presented the Government plan for a European front and the constitutional amendments, and asked for the support of Croatia but also of the other EU member states and the U.S. in the realization of the integration goals, reads the press release. ad/ik/
