Geneva, 14 November 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia is the least corrupted country in the Western Balkans, shows the Global Corruption Index (GCI) of the Global Risk Profile (GRP), a Swiss risk management company. North Macedonia is ranked 85^th with corruption index at 43.56 points. Montenegro and Serbia are below ranking 89^th and 92^nd whereas Kosovo is 122^nd, Albania 125^th and Bosnia and Herzegovina 131^st, shows GCI. According to the GRP research, Finland recorded the lowest number of corruption cases, followed by Norway, New Zealand, Denmark and Sweden. GRP’s global index ranks corruption according to several criteria, including money laundering and terrorism financing. A total of 196 countries were surveyed for the study, which recorded high corruption in North Korea, Syria and Libya.
