Grkovska – Kop: Netherlands remains committed supporter of North Macedonia’s European integration
Skopje, 2 February 2022 (MIA) – Deputy Prime Minister in charge of good governance policies, Slavica Grkovska, met Wednesday with Dutch Ambassador to North Macedonia Dirk Jan Kop.
Talks focused on the will to continue longstanding support aimed at upgrading the anti-corruption plan, including particular commitment to digitalization, independent and efficient judiciary and professionalism of competent institutions, as well as implementing measures and activities to promote good governance and strengthen the culture of integrity.
Congratulating Deputy PM Grkovska on the new post, Ambassador Kop stressed that the Netherlands was an equally important partner of North Macedonia in NATO, and remains a committed supporter of the country’s European Union integration efforts, the Government said in a press release.
Grkovska said the Netherlands was one of the largest bilateral donors, stressing that commitment in the coming period remains on implementing activities, which include as basis accountability, honest work, anti-corruption and the rule of law, as principles of good governance and foundation of the policies of the government.
