Skopje, 22 February 2023 (MIA) – Enhancement of mutual cooperation was the main topic of Wednesday’s meeting of Deputy Prime Minister in charge of good governance policies Slavica Grkovska with UNDP Resident Representative Armen Grigoriyan.

Deputy PM Grkovska expressed her gratitude for UNDP’s support, especially when it comes to improving institutional efficiency, as well as the implementation of good governance principles.

Grkovska briefed Grigoriyan on the current activities of her Office concerning anti-corruption policies, digital transformation of society, as well as professional, responsible and accountable institutions.

The UNDP official informed the Deputy PM about the organization's plans for the upcoming period regarding the support for women in politics, as well as the influence of climate change on women’s position.

He also spoke about the role of the UNDP in the preparation of the activities which will mark the 60th anniversary of the Skopje earthquake.

Deputy PM Grkovska stressed that sustainable and inclusive economic and social development, climate activities and responsible democratic rule are fully aligned with the national priorities for North Macedonia's development and its full-fledged EU membership. ad/ik/
