Skopje, 12 May 2024 (MIA) - The Greek Ambassador to North Macedonia, Sophia Philippidou, left Parliament's plenary hall where Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova's inauguration was being held on Sunday in protest of the fact that Siljanovska-Davkova did not use the country’s constitutional name while being sworn in.
VMRO-DPMNE's MP Antonijo Miloshovski was the first to report that the Ambassador left Parliament’s plenary hall in a post on social media platform X.
While being sworn in as North Macedonia’s sixth president, Siljanovska-Davkova referred to the country as “Macedonia”.
