Gov’t approves stay of foreign armed forces for international drill at Krivolak

Skopje, 3 April 2024 (MIA) – At a session Wednesday, the Government approved the entry and stay of foreign armed forces on the territory of North Macedonia for the purpose of participating in the “Resolute Castle 24” drill.

The drill will is organized by the United States Army Europe and Africa Command and is expected to be held at the Krivolak army field from April 12 until July 19, 2024, with the participation of 270 members of the US Armed Forces, 70 members of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Norway, and 60 members of the Army of North Macedonia.

At the session the Government also adopted a decision to approve the participation of army members in the “Saber Strike 24” drill held in Germany and Poland. Soldiers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Croatia, the Netherlands, Italy, Lithuania, Belgium, Spain and Czechia are expected to participate in the drill.
