Gov't adopts strategies on youth mental health and human capital
- The Government at its session on Tuesday adopted the 2024-2026 National Youth Mental Health Strategy and the 2024-2030 Strategy on Human Capital of the Republic of North Macedonia, at the proposal of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
Skopje, 16 January 2024 (MIA) - The Government at its session on Tuesday adopted the 2024-2026 National Youth Mental Health Strategy and the 2024-2030 Strategy on Human Capital of the Republic of North Macedonia, at the proposal of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
The goal of the National Youth Mental Health Strategy is to contribute to the improvement of the mental health of young people, with the well-being of young people to be an active driver of social development, the Government said in a press release, noting that the Strategy is guided by the Agenda 2030 and the general principles of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The goal of the 2024-2030 Human Capital Strategy, on the other hand, is to help improve the results of human capital in the country. It also aims to provide a roadmap for the 2030 human capital agenda.
The Government points out that the focus of the Strategy is on three key and interconnected areas: education, health and social protection, with the aim of strengthening and improving human capital towards inclusive development. The objectives of the Strategy are also to identify key challenges, while offering a long-term view of some of the reforms that will be needed to respond to the current challenges, as well as the reform priorities that will improve and support the path to greater prosperity.
