Skopje, 26 December 2023 (MIA) - The Government at its session on Tuesday adopted the 2024-2028 Judicial Sector Development Strategy, aimed towards increasing the efficiency of the judiciary, the Government said in a press release. 

The 2024-2028 Judicial Sector Development Strategy, adopted at the proposal of the Ministry of Justice, is a strategic document aimed at establishing, planning and implementing policies towards further development of the judicial system, reads the press release. 

In its final drafting, the press release adds, expert opinions, as well as the opinion of the European Commission were taken into account. 

The strategy is focused on five key priority areas, including the judiciary and the public prosecution, the capacities of special institutions of the justice system, individual professions and public services, the Constitutional Court and specific legal areas (criminal and civil matters), which are relevant to the functioning of the judiciary.
