Skopje, 28 January 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s Government at its Friday’s session adopted the 2022-2024 Economic Reform Programme, which identifies key challenges to strengthen competitiveness and growth of the economy. Under the programme, the focus in the next three years will be on strengthening human capital for inclusive growth, encouraging green transition, as well as boosting the competitiveness of businesses at home, their integration in global value chains and formalization of the economy, the Government said in a press release. “A new feature in the 2022-2024 Economic Reform Programme are environmental reforms in the area of Green Transition, in terms of solid waste and wastewater management. One of the key challenges is energy efficiency and renewable energy,” reads the press release.
