Government team to meet gas company put forward by VMRO-DPMNE leader
Skopje, 6 October 2022 (MIA) – A Government team will meet Friday with representatives of a gas company put forward by VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, says Economy Ministr Kreshnik Bekteshi. The meeting is set to take place abroad and the public will be briefed in detail about the discussions and the offer, Minister Bekteshi told Sitel TV. The meeting with the other company over the procurement of cheaper mazut, also suggested by Mickoski, will take place over the weekend. He says the Macedonian side has already forwarded the required quantities. “It is a company registered in Europe. The company is set to give an offer tomorrow and we will inform the public after the end of the talks. The meeting will not take place in Skopje but abroad and we’ll provide the details once we come back on the same day,” notes Bekteshi. On the talks with Serbia, he says an agreement is close. “We have sent our proposal but unfortunately we have still not received a response. There is no time to wait, we are reviewing various offers,” says Bekteshi. He reassures citizens there will no shortage of electricity and heating. “Nevertheless, this should not come at the expense of the Budget. We will conclude an agreement with the best offer, thus reducing costs,” underlines Bekteshi.
