Skopje, 28 December 2023 (MIA) - The Government recommended Thursday that small shops and news-stands remain open during the New Year's and Christmas holidays, namely on December 31, January 1, 7 and 8.

The Government said the purpose of the recommendation is to meet the citizens' needs during the holidays, especially in smaller towns that have no malls at their territory.

In addition, the frequency of tourists is higher during the New Year's and Christmas holidays, making it easier for them to do some shopping while contributing to the rise of consumption in the country, reads the press release.
