Government delegation at NATO Summit in Washington - strengthening bilateral relations with the US and affirming the country as a stable partner

Skopje, 7 July 2024 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has embarked on an official visit to the United States, leading a delegation that includes Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, and Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski. The visit will feature their participation in the NATO Summit in Washington, D.C., where they will hold several high-level bilateral meetings with key American and international officials.
Mickoski’s visit to the US aims to strengthen bilateral relations with the United States, affirm Macedonia as a stable partner, and highlight our country’s economic opportunities to American investors, as reported by the government press office.
Prime Minister Mickoski is set to deliver a speech at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and will have meetings with representatives of the US business community.
As part of his US visit, Prime Minister Mickoski will meet with senior officials from the International Republican Institute (IRI), and will also hold discussions with Congressman Brendan Boyle and Senator Jeanne Shaheen, who co-chair the Macedonia Caucus in the US Congress. In the evening, PM Mickoski will attend NATO’s 75th anniversary celebratory event, which will take place at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium.
As part of their visit, the Macedonian delegation will join the opening of the NATO Forum and participate in North Atlantic Council meetings, where Prime Minister Mickoski will meet with other leaders and give media statements.
PM Mickoski will also attend the White House dinner organized for the leaders, while Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, and Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajlovski, will attend special dinners hosted by the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
The NATO Summit will be held in Washington, D.C. from July 9 to 11.
