Skopje, 14 December 2021 (MIA) – The Government adopted Tuesday the text of the Agreement on criteria for interconnection of e-identification schemes of citizens from the Western Balkans, for the purpose of ensuring access of nationals of North Macedonia, Albania and Serbia to e-services at the countries’ web-portals and access to the respective labor markets by creating an Open Balkan e-identification. The text of the Agreement on criteria for free access to the Western Balkans labor market has been adopted, and once ratified by North Macedonia, Albania and Serbia, it will ensure free movement and work of countries’ nationals in the three states, the Government said in a press release. The Agreement is a result of the Open Balkan initiative for simplification of the procedures for equal access to the regional labor market in compliance with EU values and practices.
