Government adopts report on dual education
Skopje, 18 April 2023 (MIA) - The Government at Tuesday's session adopted a report on dual education, proposed by the Ministry of Education and Science. In line with the conclusions, the Economic and Social Council is expected to give specific proposals for stimulating companies involved in the process of dual education.
According to the Ministry's report, dual education in the 2022/2023 school year is implemented in 61 secondary vocational schools across the country, with 2,763 students and in cooperation with 450 companies, the Government said in a press release.

"An increase in the number of dual education classes and cooperation with over 500 companies is planned for the 2023/2024 school year," reads the press release.

The project for dual vocational education, which is conducted according to a German model, officially started in September 2017, and the goal is to contribute to increasing the employability of young people and producing staff with appropriate skills and competencies, able to enter the labor market immediately after completing secondary vocational education.

This also contributes to reducing the gap between supply and demand of labor on the market.
