Skopje, 16 August 2022 (MIA) - At its next session, the Government will pass decisions declaring a state of energy and heating emergency that will be applicable as of September 1, Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi confirmed on Tuesday. "The state of emergency will last from September 1 until the end of the month, and in the meantime we will submit a request to Parliament to extend it until the end of the heating season, because that's the regulation in our country - after 30 days of a state of emergency, Parliament passed a decision to extend it," Bekteshi said in response to a reporter's question at today's press conference at the Government alongside AD ESM's general director Vasko Kovachevski. ESM companies have been formed in the heating sector. "At today's Government session, a decision was made to start the procedure. The public call will be published at the next government session, and ESM will likely answer it, although the City of Skopje could've done that as well, but they probably don't have a company for that purpose," Bekteshi stressed. dk/ba/
