German company launches renewable energy investment
Skopje, 15 June 2022 (MIA) – Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi and Oricon Advanced Technologies director Markus Tutsch signed Wednesday an agreement on state aid for implementation of project for industrial research in renewable energy. The project, which envisages investments worth EUR 4.9 million and creation of 72 jobs in Veles, will be realised in the period from 17 November 2021 until 17 November 2026. Deputy PM Bytyqi said that the signing of this agreement with the German company Oricon Advance Technologies is of great importance for the Republic of North Macedonia because it is a capital-intensive investment that will hire quality employees. “Industrial research will focus on gaining new knowledge and skills related to significantly improving existing products and providing a basis for creating highly competitive and safe products. The results of the research will be shared with the Macedonian scientific community and industry. The research will contribute to a positive impact to our country and will be the basis for future research, development and innovation,” the government said in a press release. According to the press release, state aid is granted in accordance with the Law on State Aid Control.
