Skopje, 3 July 2025 (MIA) - Thomas Stocker, Managing Director of Europe at Gentherm, said Thursday the new EUR 30 million investment in the country is significant for the company because it believes in the people and the support from the Government.
"This is a significant decision not only for us as a company but for the country as well. We already have a production facility in Prilep, and we have decided to transfer one of our most complex technological projects from other European sites here in Prilep. We are doing this because we believe in the people and the support from the Government. We had significant support in the past and we expect the same in the future," said Stocker.

He recalled that the initial investment in the country was projected at EUR 20 million, which then enlarged to nearly EUR 70 million.
"We are now saying that we will invest more than EUR 30 million but we'll see where this goes. Opportunities are always there," said Stocker.
He added that highly automized lines are to be produced, which requires highly-qualified employees "who will definitely upgrade their skills".

Earlier, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski told a press conference that the new investment worth over EUR 30 million by Gentherm, a global leader in the automotive industry, would open up to 300 jobs, adding this is another indicator that the country is turning into a safe destination for long-term strategic technologically advanced investments.
According to him, the new investment will significantly increase the volume of exports and turn the country into Gentherm's regional hub.
