General Gjurchinovski takes part in NATO Military Committee session

Skopje, 16 May 2024 (MIA) - Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Vasko Gjurchinovski, took part Thursday at a session of the NATO Military Committee and held bilateral meetings at the session sidelines.
Chiefs of defense discussed current topics of strategic significance, with a focus on the goals within the transformation and operationalization of the Alliance defense plans, for the purpose of preparedness to manage current and future threats, the Army General Staff said in a press release.
General Gjurchinovski met with commander of United States European Command, General Christopher G. Cavoli; the Chief of the Italian Defense Staff, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone; and the Chief of the Turkish General Staff, General Metin Gürak, discussing topics of mutual interest and joint activities.
Admiral Cavo Dragone presented General Gjurchinovski with the highest military award of the Italian Armed Forces as validation for the excellent bilateral cooperation and alliance, especially through the joint deployment with the Italian armed forces in the KFOR Mission and NATO's enhanced Vigilance Activities in Bulgaria.
NATO's Military Committee in Chiefs of Defence session is held twice a year.
