Skopje, 29 October 2022 (MIA) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made an error and said ‘northmacedonian people’ in her address during the visit to the country, and this as the only thing that you have focused on, said EU Ambassador David Geer on Saturday. Ambassador Geer said EC President von der Leyen showed enormous support to North Macedonia and did not come to the country “empty-handed”, referring to the Frontex agreement and the financial support for the energy crisis management. “This is the third visit of the EC President in a year, which is exceptional, demonstrating her enormous personal commitment and the Commission’s commitment to the country’s European path,” Geer told reporters.
