Skopje, 19 November 2021 (MIA) – Alternativa leader Afrim Gashi said after Friday’s meeting with SDSM leader Zoran Zaev they had an open discussion on how the majority perceives Alternativa but also the two options they have – the invitation to join the Government or to remain in opposition, a decision that would be taken by the party bodies based on arguments. “We had an open discussion and I am convinced that we will make the best decision for us all,” said Gashi. Considering the serious political situation in the country, noted Gashi, Alternativa has the duty to hear Zaev’s concept on how the crisis can be overcome and how the majority perceives Alternativa. “As party leader, I am obliged to consider both options. The first one is to join the parliamentary majority and the second is to resume as opposition. The party bodies will discuss both options based on arguments and what is in the best interest of the country, the citizens, Albanians and of course Alternativa,” said Gashi.
