Skopje, 15 November 2021 (MIA) – Prime Minister Zoran Zaev confirmed Monday he has talked to Alternativa leader Afrim Gashi and told him to pick the day for a meeting over the option of Alternativa joining the parliamentary majority and the Government, Alsat TV reports. Gashi has still not commented on Zaev’s call. Last week, Gashi told Alsat TV the party has not received an offer from SDSM to join the Government, saying it would be principled they talked to VMRO-DPMNE and Alliance of Albanians first. “If we have common ground, I believe we will continue as a constructive opposition, but if we cannot reach an agreement, then Alternativa will have to discuss its next moves within the party bodies. We are a democratic party that does not make decisions based on the will of one person or a small group. We open a debate, discuss and analyze all dimensions and ultimately take the decision we believe is in the interest of all citizens,” said Gashi.
