Sofia, 23 June 2022 (MIA) – The French proposal is the best solution that Bulgaria has received to date, compared to the Portuguese and German ones, said Bulgarian Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska at Thursday’s session of the parliamentary committee on foreign policy, MIA reports from Sofia. The committee is discussing the three draft-documents on the start of North Macedonia’s EU accession negotiations. “The French proposal on settlement of the disputes with North Macedonia is valid until the end of the French EU Presidency,” said Genchovska and added that one cannot say what the next presidency, held by the Czech Republic, would offer. She added that the draft-bilateral protocol is part of the entire set of documents and should be signed prior to the negotiating framework, because it is an important prerequisite for adoption of the framework.
