Skopje, 16 December 2022 (MIA) — "Lost Illusions" (2021), a French drama film directed by Xavier Giannol, will be shown with Macedonian subtitles at the Millennium movie theater as part of a gala event organized by the French Institute in Skopje and the Embassy of France.

The film is a screen adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Honoré de Balzac between 1837 and 1843.

The cast includes Benjamin Voisin, Xavier Dolan, Vincent Lacoste, Cécile de France, Gérard Depardieu, and Jeanne Balibar.

Nominated in fifteen categories at the 47th César Awards, the film won seven Césars, including Best Film, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actor for Lacoste, and Most Promising Actor for Voisin.
