Skopje, 24 November 2023 (MIA) — A total of 11,202,904 passengers traveled across North Macedonia in the third quarter of 2023, according to the latest figures released by the State Statistical Office.

Road transport accounted for 941,000 passengers; 9,190,000 passengers were carried in urban and suburban transport; 56,000 passengers in rail transport; and 1,015,904 passengers were carried by air.

During the third quarter of 2023, compared to the same time 2022, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport increased by 35.7%, carried by rail decreased by 32.0%, and carried by air increased by 23.0%. mr/
