France evacuates diplomats from Sudan
Paris, 23 April 2023 (dpa/MIA) - France is pulling its embassy staff out of Sudan in response to the heavy fighting there.
An "operation for the rapid evacuation" of diplomatic staff and French nationals is being carried out, the Defence Ministry says.
Diplomats from other EU countries would also be included, the ministry says.
The US has already withdrawn its diplomats.
