Four minors taken to Toxicology Clinic in serious condition after consuming alcohol and psychotropic substances

Skopje, 12 July 2024 (MIA) - Four minors have been taken to the Toxicology Clinic on Friday after consuming alcohol and psychotropic substances. Head of the Toxicology Clinic Andon Chibishev told MIA that the minors are aged between 14 and 17, and were admitted with impaired consciousness.

Chibishev pointed out that the minors have been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and are currently undergoing treatment and clinical trials. 

According to him, two of the children are now stable and in improved general condition, while other two are undergoing additional clinical trials.

"The minors were admitted in serious health condition, aged 14 to 17, two boys and two girls, with impaired consciousness. Two of the children are stable and are in improved general condition, and two are undergoing additional clinical trials," said Chibishev. 

In addition, the MoI told MIA that four minors were found in the house of a person identified by the initials D.G. (40), two of whom were unconscious and have consumed alcohol and psychotropic substances.

"On Friday, police officers from the Skopje police acted on a report of disturbed public order and peace, and found that in the house of a person identified by the initials D.G. (40) there were four minors, two of whom were unconscious and consumed alcohol and psychotropic substances," the MoI said.

According to the MoI, the persons were immediately taken to the Toxicology Clinic, and measures are being taken to clear up the case in coordination with a public prosecutor on the scene. 

Chibishev said more details on the case will be possible on Saturday.
