Skopje, 12 December 2022 (MIA) – The Foreign Ministry, two shopping malls GTC and East Gate, Cevahir Sky City, a complex of residential skyscrapers, and several schools in Skopje on Monday received bomb threats.

Skopje police said that around 9:30 am, nine schools, the Foreign Ministry, GTC, East Gate shopping mall, Cevahir Sky City received a threat of a planted explosives in their premises.

“After receiving the reports, police officers took measures to safely evacuate the facilities. Anti-terrorism teams are combing through the area. Investigation is under way into the bomb threats,” the Interior Ministry said.

Last week, anonymous bomb threat reports were sent to schools, shopping malls and institutions.

Also earlier today, an elementary school in Kavadarci received a bomb threat, where anti-terrorism checkups are under way, the Kavadarci police said.

Last week, bomb threats were sent to six elementary and high schools in Kavadarci, which all proved to be a hoax after thorough police checkups.
