Skopje, 10 November 2023 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani held a meeting Friday with the Minister of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Faisal Alibrahim, during which they noted the positive development in relations between the two countries, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release.

At the meeting, according to the MFA, the commitment for further continuation of the political dialogue and intensification of cooperation in all areas of mutual interests was expressed.

“Special attention was paid to the economic cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries, and the need to deepen relations in the field was highlighted,” said the MFA.

At the meeting, Osmani noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is placing a special emphasis on economic diplomacy, as proven by the decision to appoint an economic advisor at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi, who is also in charge of economic cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The interlocutors at the meeting also exchanged opinions over the cooperation on a multilateral level, the foreign policy priorities of the two countries, regional topics, as well as ongoing international issues and challenges.

Minister Alibrahim, according to the press release, also touched upon Saudi Arabia’s candidacy to host EXPO 2030 in Riyadh, and presented their program for the organization of the event.
