Food and Veterinary Agency: Zeolit MK illegally selling Zeo Medic on Facebook, product not approved and without consumer guarantee
- The "Zeolit MK" Facebook page is illegally selling the dietary supplement "Zeo Medic," which is not approved/ registered and for which there is no guarantee that it is safe, the Food and Veterinary Agency said on Wednesday.
Skopje, 14 February 2024 (MIA) - The "Zeolit MK" Facebook page is illegally selling the dietary supplement "Zeo Medic," which is not approved/ registered and for which there is no guarantee that it is safe, the Food and Veterinary Agency said on Wednesday.
The Agency warns citizens, before deciding to buy food or dietary supplements online or through social media, to check the registers kept by the Food and Veterinary Agency- https://fva.gov.mk/mk/registri , about whether the operators offering such products have been registered.
Citizens should not fall for and buy unverified and unsafe products promoted on social media from unregistered/unapproved operators.
"For any inconsistencies, consumers can personally notify the agency's competent inspection services, call the free phone line 0800 3 22 22, or electronically at info@fva.gov.mk ," the agency said.
The agency also adds that there has been an uptick of unregistered/ unapproved operators selling unverified, and often unsafe products on social media. The products do not have a safety guarantee, which is why they can be dangerous to people's lives and health. ssh/sk/
