FM Osmani to visit London on Monday
Skopje 12 December 2021 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani is set to take part in a meeting of Western Balkans foreign ministers in London on Monday, at the invitation of British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Liz Truss, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Sunday. The UK’s Special Envoy to the Western Balkans Stuart Peach, the EU’s Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues Miroslav Lajčák and US Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs and Western Balkans Special Representative Gabriel Escobar have also be invited to attend the meeting. Osmani, the release added, is set to hold separate bilateral meetings with Liz Truss, Gabriel Escobar, Stuart Peach, Miroslav Lajčák, as well as with Martin Vickers, the Trade Representative for the Western Balkans of British PM Boris Johnson. Discussion, the Foreign Ministry underlined, will focus on the economic development and regional integration of the Western Balkans, ways to enhance trade cooperation, as well as the region’s Euro-Atlantic perspective, the fight against the pandemic, regional security challenges, including resolving disputes in the spirit of good-neighborly relations and ensuring prosperity, democracy and stability in the region.
