FM Osmani to attend UNGA 76
Skopje, 19 September 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani will travel to the United States next week to take part in the general debate of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 76). During the visit, FM Osmani is to hold meetings with top officials of the US administration, and attend an event on the establishment of diplomatic ties between North Macedonia and the Philippines, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release. As part of the General Assembly, Osmani will attend several high-level meetings, including a conference of the Community of Democracies, a summit of the Alliance for Multilateralism, as well as a conference in support of the entry into force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. Osmani, reads the press release, will also attend the meeting convened by the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, as well as President Stevo Pendarovski’s address at the general debate. In addition, Osmani’s visit is to further promote the country’s commitment, as well as that of partners EU and US, to support effective multilateralism.
